STEM

In STEM all students will learn about the engineering design process and participate in a variety of STEM challenges. They will practice cooperation, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Students will also learn to design and code solutions to real world problems using the Lego Spike Essential Robotics kits.

Third graders will conduct a variety of experiments to investigate objects in motion and electric and magnetic forces. They will also learn the ways in which organisms change over time, including plant and animal extinction and fossils.

Fourth graders will focus on changes over time to Earth’s surface and resources. They will learn about rock patterns, changing land, plate tectonics, and renewable and non-renewable resources.

Fifth graders will investigate the human impact on Earth’s systems, including how the systems interact, water sources, and ways to reduce the human footprint.

Our STEM program teaches students to become independent thinkers!
