Discovery Days-Author Visit

Nick Bruel is not only the author of the super popular "Bad Kitty" book series, but he is also a neighbor. He lives in Pleasantville!  He did a read-aloud from his new novel "Supercat" and explained to the students the process of writing and illustrating books. Then as a special treat he had students brainstorm various ideas for a fiction book. In an impromptu creative session, he gathered all of their tidbits for the story and put them together in a book he named Happy Cat. Third grade teacher Nicole Ponte said, "He was fantastic!"Maybe the book should have been named Happy WILDcat." #wildcatpride
